This is quite an interesting combination of ingredients. Does it come out more sweet or more savoury? I guess the caramelization of the onions would tip the balance in favour of sweet?
Thanks! We have it quite a lot here; it's kind of like sauerkraut but not so 'sauer'. It is fairly sweet, yes, but also pleasantly tangy, especially if you add a generous amount of vinegar or a splash of wine.
